Busy busy busy . . .

I keep thinking that one of these nights, when I am looking for something productive to do, I will sit down and update the blog. Well, my nights have been full, along with my days. Even now, as I sit, I am risking going to a baptism with my hair wet and stringy, and a shirt covered in peanut butter. But while time is slipping by, there are more and more things that I need to blog about. And if I don't start now, I may never "pick up the pen" again.

So life around here is great!! Some of Philips family were able to come for Easter. Orion had a lot of fun playing with all of his cousins, and it was so nice to spend time with other adults!
This week in particular has been really great!
On Thursday I had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Madison Tea Party. It was fun to be around so many other people who think the same way I do! But I have to admit, it did feel a little weird to clap during someones "talk".
Thursday night was WONDERFUL!!!! After many many months of searching, I found a free piano. And then after many weeks of waiting for a time to be able to pick up said piano- we finally were able to get it on Thursday night!! She isn't very pretty (someone painted her gold), and she needs a lot of work if she will ever sound very nice- but she is all mine!! Well, she is all ours. Orion and William and Philip are enjoying her too.
On Friday- we went to the zoo. Orion was so excited to see all the animals and Philip was super excited to show them to him. After the zoo- we went to Sonic for their Happy Hour drinks and some ice cream. Friday night, after the kids were in bed I did some serious cleaning. It amazes me how quickly the house can go from "beautiful" to "a tornado just went through here."

Saturday- I decided to take apart our piano bench and strip it down. It looks a thousand percent better without the ugly gold and green padding. I also was able to attend a baptism in the evening. I love going to convert baptisms!! Their spirits are so sweet, and I love the excitement in them!
Well- I know that I have left a lot of wonderful details out, but I have William on my lap reaching for the keys, and Orion at my side begging me to play a game with him. The dishes are piled in the sink, the floor needs swept and the laundry needs to be switched. Life doesn't seem to slow down at all, but I am loving it. I am so thankful for my wonderful little family.

I actually think the piano looks SWEET! Much better than the dark dark ones most uprights seem to be. Way to go on your new girl!

I sure miss you Hannah! I'm impressed that you went to the Madison Tea Party. You do know that Madison, Wisconsin is the cradle of Progressivism, right? I can't wait to see you this summer! Mom says you're coming sooner than you had planned... Love ya!
