Merry Christmas to ME

So, William had his allergy appointment today- and all went well. The doctor didn't seem to think that William had a food allergy, so we tested dust, cat, dog, & feathers. All of which came back negative. On Monday William goes in for his 6 month check up, and I think at that point we will try a reflux medicine.

On to more exciting things!!!

We finally set up the Christmas tree this last week. Orion had a lot of putting all the decorations on. He seemed to think that they all looked best on the same three branches though. He was quite sad when we were all out of things for him to hang.
But he does have a lot of fun turning on the lights and looking at the "really tall Christmas Tree." William keeps getting himself stuck under there too and then Orion goes and tries to help him out. Every time I go and rescue them both I think to myself "What a wonderful present!!" I am so grateful for my two beautiful wonderful boys!!!!!

Orion and I made some Christmas cookies the other day too. I frosted the tree he was decorating and then gave him the candy to do it. We were at the table together and he was putting his candy on the cookie like he was supposed to. I walked away for a minute and when I came back, Orion was eating the candy off of his cookie. I told him that he was supposed to use the candy to decorate his cookie. He smiled at me and said that he was decorating his tongue. Silly Boy!!
And lastly, we had our first big snow storm of the season this week. And I thought it was hilarious that the tractor plowing - got stuck and had to call for backup!

Here are just a bunch of little things not worthy of their own post- so I am packing them all into this one.

First off: doesn't Orion just look so dang cute in these glasses?

Sadly- William started leaning forward in the swing. He never fell out- but I didn't want to risk it. So- no more swing. We also had to put the bouncer away about two months ago- because he could roll out of it.

We got out the Christmas decorations the other day. William loved the lights!! We could not keep him away from them!
It finally snowed here in Wisconsin yesterday- and Orion REALLY wanted to go outside and play in it. So I put him in a coat and let him go out. He stayed curled up in a ball on the porch the entire time. I asked him several times if he wanted to come inside- but he kept insisting that he wanted to play in the snow. Finally he opted to come inside.
On the 11th we finally get to take William to see the allergist. He recently had another sinus infection and was put on another round of antibiotics. He still has a stuffy nose and bad cough- but at least that is all. So unless something fabulous happens between now and next Friday- plan on hearing from us then.

So a while back I decided that I wanted to make Orion a "numbers" blanket this year for Christmas. My initial plan was to do numbers on one side and letters on the other side. That is so not happening though. So instead I am working on just a numbers blanket. Orion has been watching me cut out the pieces and gets very excited when he sees one he recognizes. Anyway- I know that my mother would love to see what I am creating so I am posting pictures of the quilt thus far.
This was me laying it out before numbers were appliqued and borders put on.

The completed blocks.
Now all I have to do is get some neutral (I'm thinking white) material and bring them all together and the top of my quilt will be done. Very basic- I know, but since this is my first- I am ok with that.
