Ok everyone, be prepared to be shocked. This year to celebrate
Independence Day, we went to a B-B-Q at the Richards. I say be shocked because, I can never talk Philip into going to events like this unless it is a ward activity or held at his sisters house. (And even then, it takes a lot of talking.) But we went to the Richards and had a good time. A lot of our friends were there and it was nice to sit and chat with them while Orion played. A good time was had by all. We left that at about 8:30, and went home to do our own fireworks. Orion had a lot of fun with the sparklers.
For "scriptures" that night, we read in 1
Nephi, where it talks about the gentiles who came to this land to escape captivity. We tried to explain to Orion that Heavenly Father was preparing a way for the
Gospel to be put back on this earth. I am so grateful to those men and women who sacrificed and died so that we can live in this free nation. It is a HUGE blessing in our lives to be Americans.
