On the 29th, we celebrated Orions 2nd birthday. I really wanted it to be a special day for him, but I think I failed. Mostly because I was so stressed. But I also felt like I spent a lot of the day saying "Orion, STOP!" He was climbing on dressers, getting on daddys computer, getting into the fridge etc. I also had planned on taking him to the library, but Phil drove to work that day, so I didn't have a car to go. (If it was warmer, we would have walked, but I refuse to walk when it is only 15 degrees out side!) To top off my stressful day, I tried a new recipe for frosting, and ruined it! It turned out more like a glaze then a frosting. But, the important part is, Orion still recognized that his cake was a train. We got him some balloons that he loved playing with (still does infact) and a Lighting McQueen car, that he loves. Grandma and Grandpa Bainbridge sent some slippers a while back, and we saved the McQueen pair for his B-day, and he loves those too. He was so sad when I told him he had to take them off so that we could put his boots on. The other gift he recieved was a stroller from his cousins. He really likes that too. So I guess, all in all, he had a good birthday evening.
